ISOLATING TOGETHER
MARCH 2021
Isolating Together is an outdoor photography exhibition portraying inspiring stories of community, action and solidarity during Covid-19. It will be displayed in 18 locations, including a selection of iconic spaces across Camden, London from 22nd March for 10 days.
ABOUT
As the country went into lockdown, some people were left in dire need of help – with no food, no one to call and no idea how they were going to survive. The need for community support was apparent and Mutual Aid groups sprung up everywhere to support people in their local communities.
Isolating Together showcases the faces and stories of Kentish Towners who came together during a crisis. This photographic project puts a face to an otherwise faceless support network and reinforces our effort to build a tightly knit community.
We wanted to work with Karishma as we are so inspired by her work. She has created & crowd funded this project, entirely off her own back and made it possible for Camden and Kentish Town residents who felt incredibly isolated, to connect. In reflecting individual stories back to the community in this new outdoor exhibition, she is once again giving residents something to be proud of and a space to reflect on what the last year has meant.
